Sustainability Champion
Are you passionate about sustainability in the arts? We need an expert working in theatre to help us on our sustainability journey.
Sabotage Theatre Company is a grass roots theatre company that has been working with environmental sustainability as a driving force since 2008. We’ve found ground-breaking ways of creating and touring sustainably; we have toured in horse-drawn wagons, camped, walked from venue to venue, travelled on trains and lit plays with burning torches fuelled by recycled chip oil. Our puppets are made using recycled materials. Sabotage Theatre is vibrant, unique, and uncompromisingly live.
Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, we are now looking for someone familiar with the Green Theatre Handbook who:
· Will assess the artists we are working with to maintain and develop their practice and understanding of sustainability
· Will measure our carbon footprint, document the materials and energy we use, and devising routines to reduce our consumption
· Write our environmental policy
The fee for this project is £200/day for five days’ work.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to Zoe Hinks, Artistic Director by Monday 22nd May:
